Tiare Tiaturi
Hula Dancer & Cataract Patient

The hula has been a cornerstone of Hawaiian culture since ancient times, telling tales through movement. As hula as her passion in life, you can understand Tiare’s dismay when she started to lose her sight. She trusted Dr. Bennett once again to help her with her vision, this time for cataract surgery. Thankfully, she is back dancing on stage with confidence and clear vision!
In Our Hearts Forever
Mike Eaton
Surfer, Board Builder & Longtime Patient
Known for his skill in shaping big wave boards for the North Shore’s best big wave surfers, Mike Eaton was passionate about board building, and it showed. Those who have a board shaped by Mike feel honored and lucky to hold on to a piece of this true legend. As a patient of Eye Center of Hawaii and friend to so many, we are saddened to have lost him this past March. His selflessness to share his craft with so many and kindness those lucky enough to have known him experienced will never be forgotten.
