
Dr. Charles Behnfield is an ophthalmologist specializing in cataract surgery, refractive surgery, and minimally invasive glaucoma surgery. He received his medical degree from the University of Colorado School of Medicine and completed his ophthalmology residency at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center, where he served as Chief Resident.
Before pursuing ophthalmology, Dr. Behnfield served as a Flight Surgeon in the U.S. Army while stationed in Wiesbaden, Germany, caring for military aviators and service members. His military background instilled a commitment to excellence, teamwork, and compassionate patient care.
Dr. Behnfield enjoys combining the latest advances in ophthalmic surgery with personalized care to help patients preserve and restore their vision. He is passionate about educating patients and partnering with them to find the treatment options that best fit their visual goals and lifestyle.
Outside of work, Dr. Behnfield enjoys traveling, spending time outdoors, and making memories with his wife and their two sons.
